I love scrubs in the monsoon and winter seasons, they help keeping my hands soft and help in removing any tanning or general wear and tear (?)

Here’s a scrub I made last week , a coconut and lemon sugar scrub with almond oil in it as well! Don’task me why I did not add the word almond when naming the scrub, those are trade secrets!! πŸ˜›

Shake well before use!

This hand scrub has nourishing and softening Β properties of coconut oil and a little almond oil as well for moisturizing the cuticles and nail bed, lemon juice to lighten the skin post tanning and to brighten it with regular use. A little zest of lemon with lemon or citrus essential oil to give this scrub that uplifting fragrance! Sugar scrubs are fabulous to slough away all the hard spots on the elbows and the dry bits. They reveal fresh skin once you wash it off!

And the best part? You don’t need to use any moisturizing cream after this.. πŸ™‚

You’ll need:

1/4 cup of coconut oil

2 tbsp of almond oil

Juice of 1 lemon

Some lemon peel or zest

1/2 cup of Sugar granules

Lemon essential oil. I used the essential oil from Calvin Klein’s Essential oil set called Citrus..it is really old, probably part of his Truth fragrance line! Use whatever you have handy.

Mix all the ingredients well and store it in a good container, glass preferably, but I just had plastic..store it in the fridge! Use it up within a month.

To use:

Shake well to mix the sugar and the oils, apply the mixture and scrub well. Let it soak on your hands for a minute. Rinse clean with warm water to remove the stickiness but retain the moisture. Pat dry! πŸ™‚

This scrub is truly an all round experience..great not just for your hands but also for your feet and occasionallyΒ for your lips too! Enjoy. πŸ™‚
